OCEAN ADVENTURE

EFD was invited to educate young minds and their parents about ocean waves and the climate.
Changing Hands Bookstore invited several departments from ASU to participate in ocean themed activities to inspire research on, in and around the earth's most abundant liquid -WATER!
Being that EFD loves to study fluid mechanics, we built a rotating table that represented the earth 's rotation demonstrating the jet stream from the poles (cold air) moves to the warmer regions of the earth and cause energy exchange and how eddy's are created which can break off and form storms.
